Preschool Ministry

Welcome to First Baptist Church Preschool Department.
Our goal in the Preschool department is to provide a friendly atmosphere that is secure and clean, in which children can learn. We believe that each child deserves a place where they feel safe, loved and accepted. By filling these needs in preschool children we are giving them the freedom to grow and learn truths about God, His world, His Son Jesus, and the promises in His Word.

To reach this goal we promise to:
Accept the child if not always the behavior.
Provide an environment that is safe and clean.
Be prompt and prepared to teach for each session.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Sunday:

Sunday School: Our preschool department provides Sunday School classes for children ages birth through Kindergarten. We are blessed to be staffed with teachers who love young children. (9:45 a.m.)

Morning Extended Session: Care is provided in our 8:30 service for all children ages birth through 3 years, and during our 11:00 service up to age 5.

Wednesday:

Children's Discipleship Training: J.A.M. (Jesus and Me):
4 years- kindergarten
J.A.M takes place in both the fall and spring, during the school term on Wednesday nights (6:30-7:30pm). With a schedule and format much like Vacation Bible School, children are given the opportunity to enjoy Bible story time, Bible memorization, singing and recreation. Children also have the opportunity to purchase items in the J.A.M store with "bucks" that have been earned through participation and Bible memorization.

Child Care is provided for children birth through 3 years of age from 6:15 to 8:00 during Wednesday evening Bible studies and for parents working in J.A.M. and youth R.U.S.H. Hour.

Our Nursery is open for church-wide functions (excluding fellowships) for children ages birth through three years old. Other child care needs should be arranged one week in advance. Organizations may use the church nursery and are responsible for obtaining workers and to clean up before they leave the rooms.

Mom’s Morning Off:

Mom’s Morning Off is a new co-op which provides childcare for children ages 0-5 each week, allowing for parents to run errands or just to take a break. There is no cost as moms take turns serving on a rotation. MMO meets every Thursday morning from 9am-12pm. Contact Stephen Wilhite for more details (903)327-6648 or swilhite@fbchowe.org.
